Duties
- Assist with welding tasks using MIG, Smaw, and Brazing techniques under supervision
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support fabrication projects
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Support the assembly of metal components detailed instructions
- Gain experience in rigging, mechanical knowledge, and crane operation to move heavy materials securely
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in fabrication and assembly work
- Participate in machining tasks and basic math calculations necessary for accurate fabrication
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in welding or manufacturing is a plus
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read simple schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings is preferred
- Willingness to learn rigging, crane operation
- Good communication skills and ability to follow safety procedures diligently
- Prior construction experience or exposure to manufacturing environments is advantageous but not required
