- Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates and reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifies the Manufacturing Supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements and following the manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying the receipt of supplies.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish the job.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Modify designs as needed.
- Fixture building and hydraulics.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain ISO quality control standards by verifying dimensions of machined parts and fixtures using calibrated measuring tools
- Perform first off and final inspections
- Basic knowledge of machining (preferred)
- Complete and Maintain inspection records
- Inspect and verify incoming parts / materials against paperwork, record any shortages and reject damaged or out of spec parts
- Must have knowledge of GD&T; tolerance and dimensioning
- Report any deviations of tolerance to Supervisor
