As an Asset Management Technologist, you will provide GIS support to Mobility - Signals Construction by designing and implementing geospatial solutions, maintaining traffic signal data, and ensuring alignment with City data standards. You will deliver data analysis and reports, to support timely information access and enable data-driven decision-making by leadership. You will also be optimizing processes through technology to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance data quality for operational and capital planning.

Primary duties include

- Own and maintain all GIS data for Traffic Signals, including development and upkeep of applications, databases, models, and infographics, while ensuring data accuracy through verification, analysis, updates,



and creation of recent datasets.
- Produce reports and respond to inquiries regarding traffic signal data.
- Provide advanced GIS analysis and operational support by performing geoprocessing, creating customized datasets, and automating workflows using programming and data processing technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain ArcGIS Online (AGOL)/Portal web GIS solutions, including custom web and mobile applications, dashboards, and feature services that support data management workflows and optimize operational processes.
- Maintain and enhance applications through upgrades, troubleshoot issues in collaboration with internal and external GIS teams, and ensure reliable, high-quality data delivery aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

- A completed 2 year diploma in Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field and at least 5 years of related Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and asset management experience; OR
- A degree in Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field and at least 3 years of related Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and asset management experience.
- Proficiency with the ESRI ArcGIS technology suite including: ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS ArcMap, Model Builder,



ESRI Field Mobility tools and Experience Builder is required.
- Knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases will be considered an asset.
- Experience with Infor Public Sector (Hansen) or other Enterprise Asset Management / Work Management systems would be an asset.
- Familiarity with Python, and Safe Software's Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) would be an asset.
- Additionally, knowledge of business intelligence tools and dashboard technologies such as SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence and PowerBI will be considered assets.
- Experience with Systems Analysis, Business Process Assessment and Requirements Gathering is an asset.
- Success in this position requires strong communication, planning, organizing, research and analysis skills.

- This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

- Compensation: Pay Grade 10 $44.01 - 58.82 per hour
- Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week.
- Days of work: This position works a 5-day work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
