Community Description We’re the Assiniboia Community Housing Co-operative. We are more than just a place to live; we are a place to call home, a place to learn and grow, and a place to build lifelong memories in a caring community. We prepare food for each other, contribute to a democratic and equitable organization, run our own meetings, and collectively own, manage, and care for our beautiful homes in Strathcona and the University of Alberta neighborhoods.

Members enjoy private rooms and share common spaces such as the kitchen and living room. All utilities are shared by members. We are looking for fellow members with whom to co-create a protected, fun and affordable housing community.

An ideal applicant is looking to be a part of our community for over a year. Unfortunately,



neither children nor pets are accepted at this time. We are looking for residents who are interested in being a part of our community long term and intend to stay a minimum of one year.
