Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Division of Nephrology

Effective immediately, a permanent full‑time faculty position as a Clinician Scientist is available in the Division of Nephrology, Department of Paediatrics, at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), 555 University Avenue, Toronto, ON, Canada. Applicants must be eligible for a full‑time faculty appointment at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor.

Responsibilities Conduct clinical care for pediatric nephrology patients, with 20–30 % of responsibilities dedicated to patient care. Develop and lead an impactful research program, focusing on childhood and rare kidney diseases, leveraging expertise in multi‑omics, gene editing, disease modelling, or drug discovery. Apply for a scientist‑track role at the SickKids Research Institute and build an impactful research career within an equitable and inclusive environment.

Teach and mentor students across the division, department, and university, including supervising graduate students through a cross‑appointment with a University of Toronto graduate program. Collaborate strongly with colleagues across the division, department, research institute, university, external partners, and the broader community.

Qualifications MD, MBBS or equivalent degree and eligibility for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification. Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (or eligibility for licensure). Strong background in basic science, with Ph D and/or post‑doctoral training, a strong publication record, successful grant funding, and conference presentations.

Clinical expertise in pediatric nephrology, including chronic kidney disease, renal replacement therapy,



and kidney transplantation. Preference for candidates focused on rare kidney diseases. Benefits
