Overview

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate piano player and choir director to lead music worship for Sunday morning services. Someone who has solid piano proficiency, experience leading and rehearsing vocal ensembles, and the ability to select and prepare music that inspires and engages singers of varying levels.

Primary duties include accompanying the congregation during service, assisting with selection of anthems and direction of the choir in practice and performance. - Piano accompaniment for Sunday morning services

- Assist the Music Director in planning and executing rehearsals, performances,



and special events

Requirements

- Proven experience in music performance and/or conducting, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and instruct diverse groups of musicians
- Knowledge of hymns and sacred music is an asset

The Assistant Music Director will share responsibilities with the Music Director, providing part-time accompaniment and choir direction for Sunday services, and choir rehearsal Thursday evenings - typically 2 weeks per month and 2 full months during the winter. Pay: From $50.00 per hour
