Assistant Manager

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our car wash team. This hands-on leadership position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, leading a team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As an Assistant Manager, you will support daily car wash operations, oversee team performance, ensure excellent service standards, and help drive sales growth through membership programs, customer engagement, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and positive environment for both customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the daily operation of the car wash, ensuring smooth workflow and exceptional service.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members to provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
- Supervise wash attendants and ensure proper vehicle handling procedures are followed.
- Train employees on safety procedures, customer service standards, equipment operation, and company policies.
- Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and development of new team members.
- Promote and sell car wash memberships, prepaid wash packages, and additional services.
- Assist with achieving sales goals through effective customer interactions and team performance.
- Monitor customer experience and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
- Ensure vehicles are processed safely through the wash tunnel while maintaining quality standards.
- Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, daily reports, and operational checklists.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining organized work areas.
- Communicate equipment concerns, maintenance needs,



and safety issues to management and maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, company procedures, and workplace standards.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility for customers and employees.

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, automotive, or a customer service environment.
- Experience leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong customer service and sales skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships.
- Comfortable promoting memberships and explaining service options to customers.
- Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and daily reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach with customers and employees.
- Ability to coach, train, and provide feedback to team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced workplace.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license is considered an asset.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are an asset.
