Vehicle Packaging Engineer

Location: Windsor ON - Onsite

Duration: 12 months

Pay Range: $50-60/hr INC

Job Summary

We are looking for an Automotive Vehicle Packaging Engineer to support vehicle design and development. In this role, you will work closely with design, engineering, manufacturing, and styling teams to ensure vehicle concepts are feasible, manufacturable, and meet quality, safety, and design requirements.

Responsibilities

- Support vehicle packaging and Conceptual Digital Data (CDD) surface development.
- Coordinate clay models, mock-ups, prototype builds, and spaciousness studies.
- Prepare milling and SLA data for clay models and rapid prototypes.
- Lead weekly meetings with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Safety, HMI, and other stakeholders.
- Complete construction sections and support Gap & Flush approvals for style freeze.
- Ensure vehicle designs meet packaging, manufacturing, tooling,



and engineering requirements.
- Work with engineering teams to maintain the intended vehicle design and appearance.
- Support exterior design coordination meetings.
- Ensure product content aligns with approved vehicle themes and release plans.
- Review competitor vehicles and industry design trends.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in automotive vehicle packaging, design integration, or product development.
- Experience with CATIA or similar 3D CAD software.
- Understanding of vehicle packaging, CDD, surface development, and Gap & Flush.
- Experience working with cross-functional automotive teams.
- Solid communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
