Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and baking, with a focus on delivering high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills in the food industry, including cake decorating, food handling, and packaging, within a fast-paced and creative environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies

- Perform cake decorating and food presentation to meet quality standards

- Support food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times

- Package baked items efficiently for retail display or customer orders

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas

- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively during food preparation

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and inquiries

- Follow recipes accurately and contribute to maintaining consistent product quality





- Support the team during busy periods by helping with additional food preparation tasks

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred

- Knowledge of baking techniques, cake decorating, and food safety standards is advantageous

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely

- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining quality standards

- Basic kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, and packaging skills

- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus

- Reliable team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude

Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour
