Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, with experience in food and beverage preparation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing excellent service while honing your skills in the food industry. The position involves preparing beverages, handling transactions, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and specialty drinks following company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional customer service
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Support team members in serving food and maintaining a positive environment

Requirements

- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Caviar POS,

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing and skilled demeanour
- Ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Experience in food preparation, serving, and food safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of food handling safety standards and procedures
- Food Handling Certification
- Smart Serve Certification
- English as your 1st language
- Italian as your 2nd language (preferred)
- Organized, reliable, and takes initiative
