The Venu Bar & Lounge is a bar located in Downtown Hamilton (King Street). We offer drinks at a great price and create a fun and friendly atmosphere for customers to grab a drink and have a great time while enjoying popular music and DJ mixes on weekends!

Bartenders and Servers:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Greet and serve all customers and provide them with exceptional customer service
- Taking customer orders and preparing cocktails, mixed drinks, shooters, beer and non-alcoholic beverages
- Always have knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Organize and set up bar, ensure cleanliness is maintained throughout shift after before closing
- Ensuring customers are not served beyond their limit and behaviour is monitored
- Collect cash, credit, debit, and master card payments for food and beverages
- inventory control and closing/balancing the register as directed
- Communicating with other team members to ensure proper flow during scheduled shifts and all mandatory tasks are completed





REQUIREMENTS:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a bartender in a comparable environment
- Smart Serve Certification is a MUST
- Available to work all restaurant operating hours
- Proficient in English verbal and written communication
- Knowledge of personal computers or ability to acquire appropriate-level skill using computers and restaurant software
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations

* Staff must be available to work days, nights, weekends as well as holidays.
