Todd & Drake LLP is a full service law firm, located in Cold Lake, Alberta, that has been serving clients in the Lakeland since 1976. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a bookkeeper.

Responsibilities:

- Receive, record invoices and reconcile accounts receivable;
- Maintain, monitor and reconcile all bank accounts including both trust and general accounts;
- Prepare cheques and bank deposits;
- Post disbursements to client files;
- Deal with accounts receivable and write-offs;
- Close files and monitor age for destruction of electronic files in accordance with legislated standards and requirements;
- Perform month end duties on the last day of the month, including preparing reports in relation to billings, receipts and expenses;
- Perform payroll duties for all staff and lawyers, ensure all mandatory remittances are paid by their due dates;
- Prepare financial statements are reports;
- Required trust reportings to the Law Society of Alberta.





Qualifications: The successful applicant will have:

- At least 2-3 years bookkeeping experience;
- Post secondary education in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred;
- Valuable working knowledge of general office programs and bookkeeping software;
- High attention to detail;
- Good organizational and and time management skills.

Compensation: We offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience. This is a regular full time position with office hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. To apply, please send your resume to [email protected].
