Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset).
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be able to obtain or already hold a valid CannSell Standard certification before starting employment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide exceptional service.
- Recommend cannabis products based on customer needs while remaining compliant with Ontario regulations.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Verify customer age and identification.
- Maintain inventory displays and stock shelves.
- Receive shipments and assist with inventory counts.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and compliant.
- Stay informed about new products and promotions.
- Follow all AGCO and company policies and procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience of 6 months to 1 year of customer service or retail sales or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills combined with excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple customer interactions efficiently.
- Familiarity with POS systems, computer operation, Microsoft Office applications (including Excel), and basic math skills are essential.
- Experience in cashiering, cash handling, merchandising, or filing enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely when stocking or organizing inventory.
- Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a quick-paced setting.
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a budtender or in a licensed cannabis retail store.
- Experience handling cash and POS systems.
- Experience in sales, inventory management, or retail merchandising.
- Valid CannSell Standard certification.
