Job Details Job Title: Temporary full‑time Business Partner – People, Culture and Performance
Employment Status: Temporary Full‑Time
Salary: $99,600 – $117,200 per year
Start Date: Immediate (position valid until 15June2028)
Location: Toronto (67 College Street) or Brampton (100 Parkshore Drive). Hybrid environment with a minimum of 40% on‑site presence.
Responsibilities Develop and maintain team‑oriented partnerships with leaders, employees, and unions to support business objectives.
Provide strategic input on operational people‑management issues and lead regional delivery of business partner services.
Partner with leaders to identify talent needs, offer coaching, and advise on People, Culture and Performance programs, policies and services.
Collaborate with other PCP team members to ensure work aligns with the organization’s strategic direction.
Identify, recommend and implement business‑focused solutions to operational people‑management issues.
Assist with program development, delivery and implementation of People, Culture and Performance strategies, including communications and training.
Support Business Leaders during design of organizational structure changes and provide input on people‑management and best‑practice issues.
Maintain effective relationships with Union Representatives, participating in Labour‑Management Committee meetings and grievance and problem‑resolution meetings.
Participate in collective‑agreement negotiations and provide input on operational issues or local market trends.
Recommend and conduct investigations into workplace harassment and other employee‑relation issues and represent the organization at arbitration and third‑party hearings.
Advise on displacement and termination issues, attending meetings with employees as required.
Proactively partner with Business Leaders to identify improvement opportunities for technology, process and program enhancements.
Qualifications University degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration or related field.
5 to 7 years of experience in an operational and strategic Business Partner role within a unionized setting.
Robust understanding of HR best practices, employment, labour relations and human rights legislation.
Certified Human Resources Qualified (CHRP) designation preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion.
Effective interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
Leadership and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
Experience with collective‑agreement negotiations and arbitration.
