Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Temporary full‑time Business Partner – People, Culture and Performance to join our dynamic Employee Relations team within the PCP division. The role will work in a hybrid environment at our Toronto (67 College Street) or Brampton (100 Parkshore Drive) office, requiring at least 40% in‑person presence.

Salary range: $99,600 – $117,200

Responsibilities Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with leaders, employees, and unions to support business objectives.

Provide strategic input to operational issues and be accountable for regional delivery of business partner services.

Assist divisions/departments in determining talent needs, coaching on people management, and advising on People, Culture and Performance programs, policies, and services.

Ensure work aligns with the strategic direction of the team and organization through collaboration with PCP colleagues.

Partner with Business Leaders to identify, recommend and implement business‑focused solutions to operational people‑management issues.

Support program development, delivery, and implementation of People, Culture and Performance strategies, including communication of changes and training.

Advise on design of organizational structure changes and provide input on people‑management issues for operational business cases and change initiatives.

Develop, promote and facilitate effective business relations with Union Representatives through open dialogue, Labour‑Management Committee meetings, problem‑solving, and grievance meetings.

Participate in collective‑agreement negotiations and provide input on operational issues or market trends.

Conduct investigations on workplace harassment, problem resolution,



and other employee‑relation issues.

Represent People, Culture and Performance and local business units at arbitration and third‑party hearings.

Provide advice, consultation, and recommendations on displacement and termination issues, including attending employee meetings.

Proactively partner with Business Leaders to identify improvement opportunities (technology, process, programs).

Desired education and skills University degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, or related field.

CHRP designation preferred.

5 to 7 years of related experience in an operational and strategic Business Partner role within a unionized environment.

In‑depth understanding of HR best practices, trends, development, and labour‑relations legislation.

Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
