Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Team Leader to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of cafe staff. Your expertise in food preparation and safety, along with your ability to manage and motivate a team, will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for our customers.

Please only apply if you have a minimum of 2 years cafe/hospitality experience and enjoy working with children.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily cafe operations and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation and maintain high-quality service throughout the day.
- Train and mentor team members in food service best practices and customer interaction.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, adhering to health regulations.
- Conduct interviews for current hires and participate in the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with management to implement new menu items and promotions.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Manage maintenance of cafe.




- Contribute to our daily social media posts.

Skills

- Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong skills in team management, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Experience working with children is a bonus and having a responsible adult certificate with the ability to flex into our daycare space is required but can be obtained after hiring.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Wage

- Hourly approximately $26-31/hr including tips. Base wage $22-$24.
