At H&W; Produce corp., we take pride in providing our customers with fresh, high-quality products and outstanding customer service. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic part-time cashier to join our team and contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our grocery store.
Position Overview:
As a cashier, you will be the face of our store, ensuring a positive and friendly shopping experience for every customer. You’ll be responsible for processing transactions, answering customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and offering product recommendations when needed.
- Bag groceries and ensure that items are properly handled.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking bags and supplies.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions securely.
- Follow all store policies and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- ENGLISH: Must be proficient in the English language. Must be able to count Canadian currency without issue.
- Reliable form of transportation/bus. We prefer to hire those who live close to our location.
Schedule:
- Saturdays - 12:00pm - 8:30 pm
- Sundays - 10:30am - 7:00 pm
- weekdays 12:00pm-8:30pm
