Role Description The Civil Superintendent is a full time, on-site position located in Vancouver, BC, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities on civil and earthworks projects. This role coordinates crews and subtrades, ensures work is completed according to plans and specifications, and monitors productivity and quality on site.

The Civil

Superintendent enforces health and safety standards, conducts site inspections, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include scheduling and sequencing work, tracking progress against project milestones, managing site resources and materials, and communicating with project managers, clients, and inspectors. The role also involves assisting with field documentation,



identifying and resolving site issues, and supporting budget and timeline adherence.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Construction Site Management skills, including coordinating crews, supervising subtrades, and managing daily field operations.

Candidates should possess comprehensive Construction Safety knowledge and experience, including enforcing safety protocols, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Candidates should possess solid Project Management and Budgeting abilities, including planning work, monitoring costs, and supporting schedule and resource control.

Candidates should possess strong Organization Skills, including maintaining accurate site records, documenting progress, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Several years of experience in civil construction, excavation, and underground utilities work in a supervisory or leadership role.

Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and survey layouts, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication A valid driver’s license and the ability to work on site in varying weather and field conditions.

Relevant technical diploma, certification, or trade background in civil construction or a closely related field is an asset.
