Coastal Kids early learning is looking for a reliable, caring, and safety-focused Class 4 Driver to join our team as a casual driver. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, values community and loves the outdoors.

At Coastal Kids, nature and exploration are woven into our daily programming and our driver plays an important role in helping children safely access enriching outdoor experiences and adventures throughout the community.

At Coastal Kids, we understand that every child is unique and deserves an approach that honours individuality. Through our Waldorf and Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, we organically offer a nurturing and supportive space where each child can express and explore their imagination, ideas, and curiosity through hands-on experiences.

Together, Coastal Kids children expand their knowledge through a coastal-based lens as they learn about the wildlife and nature native to British Columbia.

Responsibilities

- Safely transport children and educators to and from school, community outings and nature-based programs
- Ensure children’s safety during loading, unloading and transportation
- Complete vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle
- Follow all licensing, safety, and transportation regulations




- Communicate effectively with educators and management regarding schedules and transportation needs
- Support a calm, positive and welcoming environment for children during loading, unloading and transportation

Qualifications
- Valid BC Class 4 Unrestricted Driver’s License required
- Providing a clean driver’s abstract every 12 months
- Experience with children considered an asset
- Current Emergency First Aid & CPR-C Certification preferred
- Experience working with children
- Reliable, punctual, organized and qualified
- Comfortable driving in various weather conditions
- Calm, positive attitude with strong communication and organizational skills
