Role Description The Clinical Instructor is a contract, remote role responsible for facilitating clinical learning for students in relevant health and medical programs. Day-to-day tasks include delivering in person clinical instruction, guiding learners through case-based scenarios, and supporting the application of theoretical,clinical and lab practice.
The Clinical
Instructor will assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and ensure that learning activities align with program outcomes and regulatory or professional standards. The role also involves collaborating with faculty and program coordinators,
participating in curriculum discussions, and maintaining accurate documentation related to student progress. The individual in this role is expected to engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a learning environment that supports diverse student needs.
Qualifications Clinical Education and Training skills to design and deliver effective remote clinical learning experiences.
Medicine and Critical Care Medicine expertise to guide students in evidence-informed clinical decision-making.
Research and scholarly inquiry skills to integrate current best practices and emerging evidence into clinical teaching.
Relevant skilled designation or licensure in a health or medical discipline, in valuable standing.
Previous experience teaching, precepting, or mentoring learners in academic or clinical settings.
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to support diverse learners in a remote environment.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and culturally responsive education.
Comfort with online learning platforms and digital tools used for remote instruction and assessment.
Graduate-level education in a relevant field (e.g., Nursing, Medicine, Health Sciences, Education) is an asset.
