This temporary part time position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated Pediatric Pain Management team. You'll provide impactful assessments and treatments using evidence-based psychological interventions.
Your responsibilities include group training in coping skills and collaborating on program evaluation alongside experienced healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments and treatment plans for youth
- Implement cognitive-behavioral and acceptance therapies effectively
- Work closely with medical staff and families for holistic care
- Assist in program development and evaluation efforts
- Maintain communication with healthcare providers and educational agencies Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology necessary
- Five years’ clinical experience in adolescent psychology
- Registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners required
- Knowledge of psychological interventions for pain management preferred
