Wage: $43.58 per hour – 35 hours per week

Location of Work: 200 Rockcliffe Court, Toronto, ON plus various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Skills/

Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcements materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or into surfaces according to grade

Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete

Operate power vibrator to compact concrete

Level top surface of concrete according to grade & depth specifications using straightedge or float

Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools

Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete

Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete

Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces





Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of floors, walls, roads and other concrete structures

Work Conditions/Job Requirements

2 to 3 years or more of experience in concrete finishing

Physical strength to handle heavy loads

Physically demanding work; bending, crouching, kneeling; repetitive tasks

Valuable hand-eye co-ordination

Organization and cleanliness

Ability to learn and develop practical skills

Capable of observing all health and safety codes
