Greenfield Construction is a civil contractor with an established presence across Western Canada, operating from our office in Strathmore, Alberta. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Earthworks Foreperson for a multi-year project in the Chin Lake Reservoir Area, 10km South of Taber, Alberta.

This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role suited for a Foreperson who is looking for an opportunity within a growing and well-established civil construction team.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in Leading daily on-site construction activities for all earthworks.
- Enforce compliance with provincial OH&S; regulations, company safety policies, and project-specific safety plans.
- Assist in Coordinating trades, and labor crews to maintain productivity and site efficiency.
- Review and interpret IFC drawings, specifications, and construction schedules, ensuring work aligns with engineering and contractual requirements.
- Provide regular reporting to Superintendent.




- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Plan and manage materials, equipment, and logistics to support efficient site operations.
- Identify and resolve site challenges proactively while maintaining a solid safety-first culture.
- Maintain accurate site documentation.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience as an Earthworks Foreperson or similar role on civil or multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage teams.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, productivity tracking, and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of SiteDocs is an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
