Become a pivotal Health & Safety Coordinator for the City of Woodstock in a full time, 16-month contract role. Lead safety initiatives, training, and compliance efforts.
This contract position reports to the Manager of Health & Safety within the Human Resources department. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Occupational Health & Safety and three years of relevant experience. Your role will focus on implementing safety programs and conducting workplace training aligned with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and coordinate health and safety training sessions • Implement and audit the City’s safety program • Research and update safety policies and procedures • Investigate and address workplace safety concerns • Monitor and evaluate health and safety metrics
Requirements: • Post-secondary degree in Occupational Health & Safety • Minimum 3 years in an occupational health and safety role • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Knowledge of health and safety legislation • Valid Ontario driver’s license and personal vehicle required
