Role Description The Control Panel Assembler/Wireperson is a full-time, on-site role based in Stoney Creek, ON. This position is responsible for assembling and wiring industrial control panels according to electrical schematics, layout drawings, and company standards.
Day-to-day tasks include mounting components, routing and terminating wires, performing point-to-point wiring checks, and assisting with basic panel testing. The role also involves maintaining a safe and organized work area, collaborating with Integrators and technicians to resolve issues,
and ensuring that all work meets CSA and internal quality requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines and support continuous improvement in panel manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical assembly and wiring skills, including reading and interpreting electrical schematics and panel layout drawings.
- Experience with industrial control panels, including mounting components such as PLCs, relays, breakers, and terminal blocks.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and CSA requirements for panel manufacturing.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical panel assembly.
- Attention to detail, quality-focused workmanship, and ability to perform visual and continuity inspections.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, and production staff.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Stoney Creek, ON, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
- Previous experience in industrial controls, automation, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
