The Opportunity:

Our client, a well-backed and growth-oriented mining company headquartered in Toronto, is seeking a Corporate Controller to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a highly visible finance leadership role within a business that is actively advancing a significant Canadian asset and entering an important stage of growth. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will play a key role in building and strengthening the finance function while supporting strategic initiatives across the organization.

This is not a maintenance role. It is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building, improving, and operating in a dynamic environment where finance is closely tied to business decisions and value creation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Lead the day-to-day accounting and corporate finance function, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and oversee financial statements, management reporting, and supporting schedules
- Build and enhance internal controls, policies, and financial processes as the company continues to scale
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities
- Partner closely with the CFO on board materials, investor reporting, and strategic finance initiatives
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel,



and other external partners
- Oversee treasury, banking relationships, and working capital management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities for systems improvements, automation, and better reporting tools
- Support future financing activity, transactions, and broader corporate growth initiatives as required

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

- CPA designation required
- Progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, ideally within mining, natural resources, public company, or similarly complex environments
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience leading full-cycle financial reporting
- Experience working in a lean, entrepreneurial, or high-growth business where wearing multiple hats is required
- Proven ability to build processes, improve controls, and elevate finance functions
- Robust business acumen with the ability to partner beyond finance
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities
- High attention to detail with a hands-on approach
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Prior exposure to capital markets, project-based businesses, or asset-intensive industries is considered an asset

Compensation Range: $160,000 - $180,000 base salary
