Role Description The Countertop Templator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Sudbury, ON, with some flexibility for work from home tasks such as documentation, drafting and scheduling. In this role, the Templator visits customer sites to accurately measure and template countertops using manual and digital tools, ensuring exact dimensions and clear details for fabrication. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project drawings, confirming site conditions, communicating with customers and installers, and documenting measurements and specifications.

This position will also be combined with a focus on Sales. As a Templator collaborates closely with the fabrication and installation teams to verify feasibility, resolve technical issues, and ensure countertops fit correctly on installation day.



The role also involves maintaining records, following safety procedures on-site, and providing professional, respectful service to all customers.

Qualifications

Measurement and technical skills, including experience with tape measures, levels, digital templating tools, and reading basic construction drawings.

Construction or trades background, with knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, or residential/commercial renovation practices.

Strong communication and customer service abilities to explain requirements clearly, answer questions, and coordinate with clients and team members.

Organizational and time-management skills for scheduling site visits, managing multiple projects, and maintaining accurate records.

Comfort working on job sites, following safety protocols, and navigating varied environments such as homes and commercial spaces.

Basic computer skills for entering measurements, updating project files, and using company software or digital templating systems.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to customer locations in Sudbury and surrounding areas.

Ability to lift and handle templates and light materials, and to stand, bend, and move safely throughout the workday.

Prior experience in stone, countertop, or millwork industries is an asset, as is familiarity with granite, quartz, marble, and other stone products.

Sales experience, and a familiarity with countertops and stone surfaces is an asset
