Drive forward fusion energy solutions as a Cryogenic Engineer with Type One Energy. Utilize your expertise in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics to design and validate cryogenic systems. This permanent, full-time position reports to the Director of Thermofluids Engineering.
You will play a vital role in designing cryogenic systems for superconducting magnets within our stellarator program. Ideal candidates will showcase analytical capabilities and thrive in a collaborative R&D; environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thermodynamic calculations on cryogenic systems
- Conduct numerical modeling and analysis of cryogenic behavior
- Support design and integration of cryogenic hardware
- Develop thermal/fluid models to guide design decisions
- Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to ensure compatibility
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Cryogenic Engineering
- Experience in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
- Proficient in analysis tools like ANSYS and COMSOL
- Knowledge of cryogenic design principles
- Solid problem-solving and communication skills
