Culinary Production – 7 Summits Snacks
About Us:
7 Summits Snacks is a growing company dedicated to fueling active and adventurous lives with real, functional food experiences — in chocolate!. We are seeking a motivated and reliable student or recent graduate to support our Production Team. This is a hands-on role that will involve all aspects of kitchen scale food manufacturing, including ingredient preparation, production, packaging, quality control, general operations support, and potentially weekly farmer’s market sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of 7 Summits Snacks products in a commercial kitchen setting.
- Follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines to ensure high-quality product output.
- Operate and clean food processing equipment and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Package and label finished products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Support inventory management, ingredient preparation, and product storage.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure product consistency and adherence to standards.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols as per Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidelines.
- Prepare for and staff a weekly farmer’s market: set up/tear down booth, merchandise products, operate POS and handle cash/card transactions, provide product sampling and customer education, track daily sales and inventory, and restock from production as needed.
- Support deliveries and distribution as needed,
ensuring products arrive on time and in full.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Comfortable working in a kitchen or food production environment alone.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with robust communication skills.
- Familiarity with food safety and handling procedures (AHS certification is a plus).
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset.
- Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
Compensation & Schedule:
- Hourly wage: $18/hr, depending on experience.
- Part-time position, 3 days per week on average (flexible scheduling could demand more or less).
- Work location: Edmonton, AB (production facility and occasional store locations for demos/deliveries).
- Starts August 24, 2026
