CUSTODIAN

Part Time (Permanent)

Monday to Friday – 4 hours/day

Wabasca, Alberta

Bigstone Lot 25 Corporation is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and dependable Custodian to join our talented team. This is a rewarding opportunity if you have an appreciation for First Nation culture, a desire for continuing professional development, and enjoy the support and collaboration from our multidisciplinary team and various other professionals and agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General Janitorial and Maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, sanitizing floors, washrooms, etc.

Collect and dispose of trash from the buildings

Sanitize surfaces: doorknobs/handles, handrails, countertops, tables, chairs, phones, other common items

Reports observations regarding malfunctions, defects, repair and maintenance and unsafe conditions of the building, fixtures, and equipment

Perform seasonal cleaning

Ensuring the office building is secure prior to leaving the building

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Physical ability to lift heavy objects,



stand for long periods of time, etc.

Ability to follow proper cleaning and sanitation instruction on all cleaning and equipment supplies

Ability to follow instructions concerning various chemicals

Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma is an asset

Experience in a Custodial/Janitorial role considered an asset

Reliable transportation

Valid WHMIS Certification
