Responsibilities
- Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments using approved methods and equipment.
- Prepare instrument trays and materials for upcoming dental procedures with precision and care.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, including batch logs and quality assurance documentation.
- Ensure all sterilization equipment is functioning correctly through routine checks and maintenance.
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including proper handling of contaminated instruments and waste disposal.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies of sterilized instruments and ordering replacements as needed.
- Support the dental team by providing sterile instruments promptly during procedures to promote workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of medical terminology related to dental procedures and infection control practices.
- Previous experience in a sterilization or clinical support role within a healthcare or dental setting is preferred.
