Senior Data Engineer

Montreal, QC (Hybrid – 6 onsite days per month)

Duration: 5-month contract with strong extension potential

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a high-performing analytics team responsible for designing and maintaining contemporary data pipelines that power enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable data solutions, optimize processing workflows, and ensure high-quality data delivery.

What You'll Do

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Develop data transformation and ingestion solutions from multiple enterprise data sources.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability through validation and automation.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to troubleshoot issues, perform testing, and deploy enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best development practices.
- Support production environments by maintaining existing solutions and resolving technical issues.




- Work within Agile teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong experience with Python and PySpark/Spark .
- Experience designing and supporting data pipelines and data transformation processes.
- Solid understanding of Star Schema , Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) , and dimensional modelling.
- Experience with Git , Docker , and cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices, unit testing, and peer code reviews.
- Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.
- Familiarity with Power BI from a data engineering perspective.

Nice to Have
- Big Data experience.
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and solution documentation.
- Experience with GitHub or GitHub Copilot.
- Exposure to JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, or CSS.
