Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team on a contract basis from Tuesday, October 13, 2026, until Friday, January 15, 2027 . This job posting is for an existing vacancy. Please note that this is a seasonal role hired on an annual basis.

This position requires a commitment of 3–5 days per week and reports to the Director of Fundraising. Most of the work will be completed from the Alongside Hope offices at 80 Hayden St., Toronto; there may be occasional days where work can be completed from home. The candidate will be trained to use Donor Perfect to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Taking orders for World of Gifts items via telephone (through MS Teams) and email.
- Entering World of Gifts donations into the Donor Perfect system on a daily basis.
- Reporting on these donations and any issues related to World of Gifts donors.
- Mailing World of Gifts gift cards as requested in a timely manner.
- Handling other donor calls when required.
- Entering mailed donations into the Donor Perfect system.
- Responding to donor questions and escalating any concerns as appropriate.
- Printing, collating, and mailing receipts and donor acknowledgments in a timely manner.
- Assisting with fulfilling Christmas card orders.




- Assisting with data clean-up in systems following established standards.
- Communicating with the team regarding concerns or errors encountered.
- Thanking donors by phone and by email.
- Other tasks as required.

Qualifications

- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work as a strong team player.
- Special attention to detail and ability to concentrate for lengthy periods.
- Rapid typing speed (minimum 55 words per minute) with high accuracy.
- Experience in data entry, specifically with processing donations.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Donor Perfect or other donor relations/fundraising software is an asset.
- Must be highly motivated, organized, and possess the ability to work independently.

Employment Details

- Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (3–5 days per week).
- Pay Rate: $25.75 per hour.
- Start Date: Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
- End Date: Friday, January 15, 2027.
