Dentistry at Frederick is looking for an experienced, passionate and patient-focused front desk team member to join our growing team.

About the Role

As the first and last point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience while helping the practice operate efficiently each day.

This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating effectively with patients and teammates, and contributing to the overall success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Experience & Communication

- Welcome every patient with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients both in person and over the phone.
- Clearly explain appointments, treatment flow, financial arrangements, and next steps.
- Manage patient questions, concerns, and scheduling changes with confidence, empathy, and professionalism.
- Build patient trust through consistent, respectful, and solution-focused communication.

Scheduling & Practice Performance
- Manage an efficient and productive schedule using Dentrix.
- Proactively minimize cancellations and no-shows through effective patient communication.




- Fill short-notice openings and optimize daily scheduling opportunities.
- Support patient retention by actively managing recall and overdue patient follow-up.
- Contribute to achieving the practice's production and collection goals through strong scheduling and communication practices.

Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Process insurance claims, billing, and treatment estimates accurately.
- Ensure compliance with RCDSO standards, Ontario privacy legislation, and IPAC requirements.
- Protect patient confidentiality at all times.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Dental Receptionist or Treatment Coordinator.
- Proficiency with Dentrix or comparable dental practice management software.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, insurance coordination, scheduling, and patient flow.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.

Compensation

Up to $31.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated communication and organizational abilities.
