Job Summary
This role is a temporary, ad-hoc position to support ongoing maintenance and monitoring associated with various development projects across Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s (RMR) property and within the Controlled Recreation Area (CRA).
The position will be responsible for checking instrumentation and collecting & reporting monitoring data to the Development and Project Manager. Work may include, but not be limited to, various physical maintenance tasks such as erecting temporary signage and fencing across projects. From time to time during your employment and at the sole discretion of the Company, you may also be assigned additional or different duties and responsibilities which are consistent with your qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience.
The position reports to the Sr. Project Manager but liaises closely with Sr. Development Manager,
other RMR Development staff and external contractors and consultants engaged by RMR
Essential Job Functions
- Support specialist well contractor and their operatives in monitoring equipment and apparatus used during the 7day pump test.
- Check generators for correct operation and adequate fuel level. Refuel as necessary.
- Walk length of temporary hose lines (up to 500m) to check for leaks or damage.
- Collect manual and digital readings from instrumentation throughout the pump test (training will be provided)
- Collect manual water level readings from wells.
- Collect manual water level readings from staff gauges
- Work independently in an outdoor environment across uneven and forested terrain.
- Communicate with Project Manager/Development Manager on a regular basis and share collected data and observations.
- Install and maintain temporary site fencing as required
- From time to time during your employment and at the sole discretion of the Company, you may also be assigned additional or different duties and responsibilities which are consistent with your qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience.
Required Qualifications and Abilities
- Must be eligible to work in Canada – can provide SIN documentation & work permit
- Experience in construction and/or forestry site safety
- Strong records management and organizational skills
- Detail oriented and experience with collecting measurements with accuracy
- Proficient user of MS Office preferred
- Provide own CSA approved safety footwear
- Class 5 B.C. driver’s license
