A well-established and reputable employer is urgently hiring Licensed Diesel Truck Technician to join their growing team near Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Mechanics will play a crucial role in conducting inspections, services, and repairs on a variety of Heavy-Duty Trucks and Trailers.Responsibilities:Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of suspension, brake, and air systems on Tractors and Trailers. Mechanics will review and assist with repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, complete documents related to the maintenance reports and documentation, and perform maintenance-related work as required while maintaining a clean,



safe work area.Requirements:Valid Interprovincial Red Seal License is requiredExperience working on Commercial TrucksDiesel engine repair experience.Understanding of electrical systems and emissions/after treatment systems, engine diagnostic software (Detroit, Cummins, Volvo).Strong character & work ethic with a positive attitude.Able to demonstrate you are organized, responsible, independent, resourceful, and dynamicA valid driver's license is requiredKnowledge of provincial InspectionsMust possess own set of toolsShift Schedule:Days:8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday - FridayOvertime available after 40 hours per weekCompensation:Licensed Tech: $35.00 – $42.00/hour, depending on previous experience/training/certificatesComprehensive advantages are offered including Medical, Dental, Vision, and more#MHR
