Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Communications, the Digital Communications & Marketing Officer plays an important role in executing TICAN's communications and marketing activities. Working closely with the Director of Communications, this position supports content creation, digital communications and marketing that elevate TICAN's national profile and showcase the impact of its programs.
The successful candidate is skilled at knowledge translation, enjoys writing and creating engaging content, managing multiple projects, and working in a cooperative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and edit website content, articles, success stories, and other communications and promotional materials
- Translate complex research, program outcomes, and organizational initiatives into clear, compelling, and audience-friendly digital communications that demonstrate TICAN’s impact
- Manage the organization's website and newsletter, including editorial planning, content development, publishing, and ongoing maintenance
- Write, design, schedule, publish, and monitor social media content across LinkedIn and other digital platforms, coordinating approvals and ensuring brand consistency
- Prepare event materials including presentations, signage,
speaking notes, and promotional assets
- Create high-quality graphics and visual assets to support storytelling across digital platforms, publications, presentations, and marketing materials
- Maintain and organize digital asset libraries, brand templates, and communications resources
- Track communications and digital engagement metrics, preparing regular reports and recommending opportunities for improvement
- Support the Director of Communications in the development and execution of public-facing communications initiatives and campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant communications experience
- Knowledge of WordPress, Microsoft Office and editing software programs
- Strong organizational and project coordination abilities
- Experience creating content for social media and digital platforms

Location Remote within Canada, with occasional travel for partner meetings and events.
