Role Overview Teranet seeks a visionary Director of Information Security to lead, evolve, and integrate Security Operations, Application Security, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) programs across on‑premises, cloud, and security practices. Reporting directly to the CISO, the Director will develop and implement operationally sustainable security and compliance roadmaps, processes, and controls aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities - Influence & Support the Development/Execution of the Security Strategy (30%) – Develop and deliver strategic roadmaps, mature security operations, application security, and IAM programs; implement sustainable controls; partner with business units; communicate complex concepts to technical teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership; oversee security programs across subsidiaries.

- Lead Security Operations & Incident Response (25%) – Oversee 24/7 security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response; coordinate investigations; maintain minimal business disruption; continuously improve capabilities through exercises and playbook updates.
- Lead Application Security Programs (20%) – Develop and enforce secure software development lifecycle practices; integrate security into design, code reviews, and CI/CD; lead vulnerability assessments and remediation.
- Lead Identity & Access Management (15%) – Design, implement, and oversee IAM programs; manage access controls and user lifecycle; enhance tools for least‑privilege and Zero Trust; align IAM practices with operational needs.
- Build, Develop, & Lead Security Teams (10%) – Attract, retain, and develop high‑performing security professionals; manage employees, contractors, and vendors; promote a culture of security awareness across the organization.

Required Qualifications - College diploma or university degree in Computer Science,



Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

- Minimum 8 years progressive IT security experience with 3–5 years in a leadership or management role overseeing security operations, application security, or IAM.
- Experience in complex hybrid environments (cloud and on‑prem) within a mid‑to‑large organization.
- Deep knowledge of security technologies: next‑generation firewalls, vulnerability management, malware management, IAM platforms, and SIEM solutions.
- Experience designing and implementing secure development lifecycle practices and guiding application security programs.
- Proficiency in Excel for risk tracking and reporting.
- Familiarity with project management and documentation tools for progress tracking.
- Working knowledge of networking, operating systems, cloud platforms, and best practices for securing these environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001/27002, and NIST.
- Understanding of threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and embedding security into Agile pipelines.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Information Security Fundamentals, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
- Strategic thinker, creative problem‑solver, advanced communication, collaboration, prioritization, decision‑making, team leadership, and confidentiality skills.
