You've shaped an ambitious academic vision previously and taken full ownership of its results. You've driven change from the frontlines, not from behind a desk. When it comes to learning science, you're not experimenting—you've created something tangible, produced evidence-backed outcomes, and established your authority to present that story publicly. If this reflects your experience, 2 Hour Learning seeks its academic leader.

At 2 Hour Learning, we've developed a system where students achieve learning outcomes twice as quickly in only two hours per day. AI-driven tutoring, mastery-oriented progression, and a fundamental shift away from traditional classroom models produce these results. The impact is measurable. We now need a leader who can align execution across diverse school environments, elevate academic leadership standards, and serve as the public champion of a movement built on sound learning science.

This role is not theoretical. It's an executive mandate. You'll direct the academic strategy operationally, establish rigorous standards, surface gaps in execution, and develop elite teams to achieve concrete results. You'll convert our scientific principles into operational excellence and advocate for this model on a global stage.

What You Will Be Doing

- Designing academic frameworks that transform learning science principles into actionable direction for curriculum development, motivation architecture, and application design.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain synchronized, responsible, and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Analyzing data, conducting interviews, and performing direct observations to produce academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most impactful obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions.

- Ensuring strategic coherence through planning processes, feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-stakes settings, including keynote presentations and engagements with national education authorities, advancing systemic transformation in global education paradigms.

What You Won’t Be Doing

- Working on disconnected curriculum initiatives that fail to produce systemic impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational implementation.
- Transferring accountability for performance to middle management or external consultants.
- Depending on institutional reputation or conceptual frameworks to convince doubtful stakeholders.

Director Of Learning Science Key Responsibilities

Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by standardizing execution across school environments, raising leadership expectations, and establishing yourself as the authoritative voice of a movement founded on rigorous scientific evidence and demonstrated outcomes.

Basic Requirements

- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring,

monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting
