The Role: Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Director of Marketing is responsible for leading the strategic direction, brand management, and execution of all marketing, communications, public relations, and digital initiatives across the Revelstoke Mountain Resort portfolio. This includes Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing, Sutton Place Hotel Revelstoke, Cabot Lodge, Real Estate and development projects, employee housing initiatives, and future hospitality and commercial ventures.

This role is responsible for developing integrated marketing strategies that strengthen brand awareness, increase visitation, drive revenue, support real estate sales, grow lodging occupancy, and position Revelstoke Mountain Resort as a premier year-round mountain destination.

The Director of Marketing provides leadership to a multidisciplinary marketing team and works collaboratively with senior leaders across Operations, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Retail, Events, Real Estate, Finance, Business Development, and Sales to develop campaigns that support organizational objectives and deliver measurable business results.

As the steward of multiple brands, this individual ensures consistent brand positioning while tailoring marketing strategies to the unique audiences of each business. They oversee all paid, earned, owned, and shared media channels while leveraging market research, consumer insights, analytics, and emerging technologies to continually optimize performance. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute comprehensive annual marketing and communications strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

Lead the marketing vision across all Resort business units while maintaining the integrity of each individual brand.

Build long-term brand equity while driving short-term revenue opportunities across mountain operations, hospitality, heli-skiing, retail, food & beverage, real estate, and events.

Identify emerging market opportunities, consumer trends, and competitive positioning strategies.

Brand Management

Lead the overall brand strategy for all Revelstoke Mountain Resort businesses.

Ensure consistent messaging, visual identity, and customer experience across every touchpoint.

Develop positioning strategies for recent developments, products, services, and guest experiences.

Protect and enhance the reputation of all brands through proactive communications.

Marketing & Communications

Oversee all advertising, digital marketing, social media,



content creation, email marketing, media buying, and promotional campaigns.

Develop integrated marketing campaigns supporting:

Lift tickets, passes and mountain experiences

Lodging and hospitality

Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing

Food & Beverage outlets

Retail

Events and festivals

Real estate and development projects

Corporate partnerships and sponsorships

Lead destination marketing initiatives.

Act as communications lead during crisis communications and reputation management situations.

Digital Marketing & Technology

Oversee website strategy, CRM, digital advertising, and ecommerce marketing.

Partner with Information Technology to optimize digital platforms, booking engines, guest applications, and customer journey technologies.

Utilize marketing automation and customer data to improve acquisition, conversion, and guest retention.

Analytics & Performance

Establish marketing KPIs aligned with business objectives.

Measure campaign effectiveness through web analytics, revenue attribution, guest insights, and ROI reporting.

Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team.

Utilize consumer research and market intelligence to guide future marketing investments.

Leadership & Collaboration

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team.

Foster collaboration across departments to ensure marketing initiatives support operational priorities.

Manage agency relationships, creative partners, photographers, videographers, media partners, and vendors.

Develop annual departmental budgets and ensure responsible financial management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline. Master's degree is considered an asset.

Minimum 8–10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 5 years leading multidisciplinary marketing teams.

Experience within hospitality, tourism, destination marketing, resorts, luxury travel, real estate development, or outdoor recreation is strongly preferred.





Demonstrated success leading marketing strategies across multiple brands or business units.

Extensive knowledge of branding, integrated marketing, public relations, communications, and consumer engagement.

Expertise in digital marketing including paid media, social media advertising, email marketing, CRM, and ecommerce.

Strong understanding of Google Analytics, digital reporting platforms, marketing automation, and performance measurement.

Experience leading media buying and agency management.

Strong knowledge of content strategy, storytelling, photography, video, and social media best practices.

Experience with market research, consumer insights, and data-driven decision making.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to lead through change while managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets and marketing investments.

Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
