Lead scientific innovation as the Director of Science for ONC, directly reporting to the President & CEO. This executive role focuses on advancing ocean conservation initiatives and developing strategic research programs. As the Director of Science, you will oversee ONC’s scientific mission and maintain its leadership role in ocean observing. You'll cultivate national and international partnerships while ensuring operational alignment with scientific priorities.

Your responsibilities will also include team development, risk mitigation, and participation in executive decision-making, necessitating frequent travel for stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic leadership for the Science Services division




- Develop national and international research collaborations
- Initiate and lead special scientific projects
- Advise ONC’s Executive Team and Board on scientific matters
- Ensure operational decisions align with scientific objectives Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field
- 10 years of scientific leadership experience
- Proven team development and management skills
- Experience with research program direction
- A record of academic journal publications Bring your leadership in science to advance ONC's vision for ocean conservation at national and global levels.
