About the Role
Our Kelowna branch is seeking a talented individual to hire as a first-year Electrician Apprentice.
Here's a Snapshot of How You'll Contribute to Our Team:
- Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to plan wiring layouts.
- Fabricate electrical equipment in accordance with CSA Industrial Control Equipment Standards.
- Install electrical equipment on various worksites.
- Install, replace, and repair electrical control and distribution equipment, including switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
- Install electrical instruments across different applications.
- Test electrical circuits with appropriate equipment to confirm proper function and safety.
- Troubleshoot and service existing equipment to maintain reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, removing and replacing faulty parts as required.
- Connect electrical power to equipment, signaling devices, and PLC control systems.
Who We’re Looking for
- Valid Driver's Licence and Abstract.
- Must have transportation to get to/from work site.
- Confined space, fall protection and aerial workplace platform training an asset.
- Awareness of plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks.
- Strong work ethic and desire for career advancement.
- Able to work in a quick-paced environment and to perform year-round indoor/outdoor work.
