Role Description The Electrical Control Panel Assembler is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. This role involves assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels according to schematics, layout drawings, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, mounting components, routing and terminating wires, and verifying proper operation of panels through functional tests. The assembler will follow safety and quality standards, assist with troubleshooting and rework as needed, and collaborate with engineers and technicians to meet project deadlines.



The role also includes maintaining a clean, organized work area and accurately documenting work performed.

Qualifications

Robust electrical assembly skills, including reading schematics, wiring panels, and working with PLCs, motor controls, and AC/DC distribution.

Experience using hand and power tools, crimpers, multimeters, and other test equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices for industrial control panels.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, bills of materials, and layout diagrams with attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective problem-solving skills, including basic troubleshooting of wiring issues and component faults.

Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other assemblers.

Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain documentation, and meet production schedules.

Previous experience in panel building, automation, or industrial electrical work is an asset.

Technical diploma, trade qualification, or apprenticeship in electrical or electronics field is preferred; equivalent experience considered.
