Blue Macaw Catering Inc. is a high-end catering company serving weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

We are currently expanding our event roster and are seeking experienced, qualified bartenders who are confident managing high-volume wedding bars and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This is a casual, event-based role.

Compensation

- Starting at $28/hr
- Increased rate based on:
- High-volume experience
- Ability to manage large wedding crowds
- Leadership and bar organization skills
- Confidence working independently

Rate determined after interview and/or trial shift.

Responsibilities

- Full bar setup and breakdown
- Managing bar inventory during events
- Preparing classic cocktails efficiently
- Beer, wine & specialty drink service
- Handling high-volume wedding rush periods
- Maintaining clean and professional bar presentation
- Coordinating with bar backs and event team
- Monitoring responsible alcohol service

Required Qualifications
- Serving It Right Certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years bartending experience
- Experience with weddings or large events preferred
- Comfortable serving 100–200+ guests
- Strong multitasking ability
- Calm under pressure




- Professional and polished presentation

Transportation & Schedule Requirements

This role requires

- Reliable transportation to venues across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
- Availability evenings and weekends
- Comfort working late-night shifts (events may finish between 11PM–1AM)
