About Blue Macaw Catering

Blue Macaw Catering Inc. is a growing, high-end catering company operating throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

We specialize in weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations, delivering refined food and elevated service experiences.

We are expanding our event roster and are currently hiring professional Event Servers for the upcoming season.

This is a casual, event-based role ideal for hospitality professionals seeking flexible scheduling in premium event environments.

Compensation Structure

- Entry Level (Serving It Right, minimal experience): $20/hr
- Experienced Server: $22–$25/hr
- Lead Server / Supervisory Experience: $25/hr+

Rate determined after interview and/or trial shift.

Responsibilities

- Plated dinner service
- Family-style and buffet service
- Passed canapés during cocktail hour
- Wine service and table maintenance
- Guest interaction and hospitality
- Event setup and breakdown
- Working closely with culinary and bar teams

Requirements
- Serving It Right certification (required)
- Prior serving experience preferred
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Solid communication skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments




- Must be available evenings and weekends

Important: Transportation & Late Nights

This role requires

- Independent transportation to and from venues
- Comfort working late-night shifts (weddings often finish between 11PM–1AM)
- Ability to travel to venues across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
