Guided by the Saskatchewan
Health Authority’s mission, “We care. We work together to improve health and well-being; every day, for everyone,” the ED provides strategic and operational leadership to strengthen care closer to home, improve timely access to services and advance the vision of Healthy People, Healthy Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Vice President, Integrated Regina Health, the ED contributes to provincial and local strategy by identifying system gaps, emerging population health needs and opportunities for innovation in team-based primary care.
The role advances the SHA’s CARES values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect,
Equity and Safety by fostering culturally safe, inclusive and high-performing environments for patients, families, physicians, providers and staff. The ED translates SHA strategic priorities and roadmap goals into actionable operational plans, ensuring effective implementation, performance monitoring,
continuous improvement and measurable results. This includes improving access to primary care, supporting recruitment and retention, modernizing models of care and optimizing scopes of practice, improving safety and quality, strengthening service integration, and ensuring responsible stewardship of human, financial and physical resources. With executive oversight of Primary Health Care services within Integrated
Regina Health the ED works collaboratively with senior leaders,
physician partners, Indigenous and community organizations, government stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams. These partnerships support coordinated, high-quality services that improve health outcomes, reduce barriers to care and align with
Saskatchewan Health Authority priorities.
Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Experience developing and leading cutting-edge programs in a complex environment 10+ years in a leadership position with progressive advancement Education Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Other Education and Training Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable Competencies Advanced - Strategic Thinking: Leads analysis and decision-making for complex system issues.
