Neegan Technical Services is looking for qualified applicants for the position of Extraction Lab Sampler.
This position requires employees to:
- Have SAFETY as a first priority and, through his/her actions, demonstrate the importance of the following, but not limited to, all Safe Work Practices and Safe Work Procedures
- Always wear proper PPE for the task
- Drive regularly throughout the plant site, including congested operating areas, while following all site traffic rules and safety requirements
- Collect oil, tailings, water, and process samples from extraction units according to established procedures from various collection sample points within the extraction unit
- Label, preserve, and transport samples to the laboratory while maintaining sample integrity
- Perform routine field inspections and verify sampling equipment is clean and operational.
- Complete sampling logs, chain-of-custody forms, and other required documentation accurately.
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Communicate with laboratory personnel and field operations to ensure timely sample collection
- Maintain housekeeping standards at sampling locations and report equipment issues or unsafe conditions.
- FLRA’s to be completed and signed by each team member every day. Also, any hazardous conditions and near misses need to be reported to the supervisor
- Additional duties as required
The qualifications required for this position are:
- Class 4 Power engineering or process engineering diploma is an asset
- Experience in oil and gas field sampling or laboratory operations is an asset
- CSTS & OSSA or BSO or CSO certificates
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Solid organizational, interpersonal and computer skills
- Ability to work shift work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
