About Us The Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan (EFSK) supports women and gender-diverse people who are criminalized or at risk of criminalization. Through advocacy, cultural teachings, housing, and wraparound services, we work to remove systemic barriers and support healing, reintegration, and community connection.

Job Overview

We are hiring a full-time Federal & Provincial Reintegration Support Worker to join our Saskatoon team. Reporting to the Release Systems Coordinator, this role provides integrated reintegration, parole preparation, and release planning support across both federal and provincial systems.

This position works across institutions and community settings to ensure continuity of care from custody to community. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of correctional systems, trauma-informed practice, and culturally responsive support grounded in anti-racist and anti-colonial principles.

Key Responsibilities

Federal Responsibilities (50%)

- Provide parole preparation and reintegration planning for federally sentenced individuals in prairie region institutions
- Liaise with Correctional Service Canada, Parole Board of Canada, Indigenous Liaison Officers, Elders, and institutional staff
- Support parole hearing preparation and attend hearings where appropriate
- Assist with housing, treatment, employment, and education referrals
- Support transition planning and continuity of care into Saskatchewan communities
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and statistics

Provincial Responsibilities (50%)

- Provide in-reach services at Pine Grove Correctional Centre, Saskatchewan Hospital, Women’s Reintegration Unit, and White Birch
- Assist with reintegration leaves and case planning




- Meet with new intakes and provide one-on-one support in custody and community
- Maintain client records in Teams/HIFIS and assist with reporting
- Coordinate referrals for housing, income assistance, addiction treatment, education, and employment
- Attend court proceedings and case planning meetings as directed

Qualifications

Required:

- Degree or diploma in Social Work, Human Justice, Human Services, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Robust understanding of federal and/or provincial correctional systems
- Knowledge of the impacts of colonialism and commitment to culturally responsive practice
- Strong documentation, advocacy, and case management skills
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Preferred:

- Experience supporting criminalized women or justice-involved populations
- Experience with reintegration planning or parole preparation
- Knowledge of Indigenous teachings and prairie-region community supports
