Join our team as a Fire Watch, a vital safety role dedicated to ensuring fire prevention and safety compliance on construction sites and industrial facilities. As a Fire Watch, you will monitor designated areas to detect potential fire hazards, prevent fires before they start, and respond swiftly in case of emergencies. This role is essential for maintaining a safe work environment, protecting personnel and property, and ensuring adherence to fire safety regulations.

Your proactive vigilance and attention to detail will help keep construction projects on track and everyone protected.

Duties

- Conduct continuous surveillance of construction sites or industrial areas to identify fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and emergency responders in case of fire or safety incidents.
- Monitor designated fire watch zones using visual inspections, CCTV systems, and other surveillance tools.
- Document all observations, safety checks, and incidents accurately in logs or reports for compliance purposes.
- Enforce fire safety protocols by preventing unauthorized access to hazardous areas and ensuring proper storage of flammable materials.
- Respond promptly to alarms or signs of fire, initiating emergency procedures as trained.




- Assist with implementing fire prevention measures during construction activities, including hot work permits and equipment inspections.

Requirements

- Prior experience in construction or industrial environments is highly preferred to understand site hazards and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of system design related to fire suppression or alarm systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform construction inspection duties, identifying potential safety risks effectively.
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail for detecting hazards early.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and emergency responders.
- Ability to stand, walk, or remain stationary for extended periods during surveillance shifts.
- Certification in basic fire safety or OSHA safety training is advantageous but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
