A Rare Prospect to Step Directly into a Full-Scope Family Practice – Maple Ridge BC.
Location: 11915 224th Street, Maple Ridge, Canada.
Job Type: Long Term (>8 weeks).
Category: Urban Locum. Physician or Clinic Telephone: (phone hidden).
Proposed Dates: Mar 23, 2026 – Jun 30, 2026. Optional earlier start: Mar 9, 2026. Optional later end: Oct 30, 2026. Hours: Full-time.
Opportunity
An established family physician at our clinic, Fraser Medical Clinic, will be relocating out of the area at the end of March and will not be retaining her patient panel. This creates a unique opportunity for a new graduating physician (or a practice‑ready physician – new to the area) to step immediately into a thriving, full primary care practice without the need to build a panel from scratch.
This position is also open to locum physicians. If a permanent replacement is not immediately secured, Fraser Medical Clinic will provide continuity of care through structured locum coverage. Even once a permanent physician is in place, locum opportunities may remain available to support the clinic’s six‑family‑physician team.
What Makes This Opportunity Exceptional
- Established Patient Panel – Approximately 1,500 active patients with 1,200 routinely seen within the last year; typical daily volume of 25–30 patients.
- Immediate Practice Stability – Fully built, robust patient panel; comprehensive documentation and histories already in place, allowing for a smooth and efficient onboarding process.
- Teaching & Learning Environment – Teaching practice with Dr. Karmali, Clinical Instructor; hosts R1, R2, medical students and NP students; preferred site for the Teaching Primary Care Innovation Collaborative (TPCLC) program.
- Modern, Fully Integrated Clinic Infrastructure – Fully integrated EMR with MedDialog and direct email connection; AI medical scribe support; online patient booking and digital workflows.
- Large,
Interprofessional Care Team – Supported by 6 Family Physicians, Advanced Medical Office Assistants, Registered Nurse in Practice, Consulting Psychiatrist, Prescribing Pharmacy on site, Clinical Pharmacist, Rotating Diabetes Nurse Educator, Rotating Respiratory Therapist.
- Seamless Transition & Flexible Start – Opportunity to begin as early as mid‑March; alternatively can cover care via locum coverage until July 1.
- Aesthetics Practice Opportunity (Optional) – Associate aesthetics clinic, supported by a Medical Aesthetic Practitioner; physicians may choose to expand or diversify scope in this area.
- Collaborative, Supportive Practice Culture – Collegial, team‑based environment with strong operational and clinical support.
